Merida's MF Alejandro Uzcátegui triumphed in a solvent way in the Absolute National Youth Championship, an event that took place in the Garden City, organized by the Aragua State Chess Association and the FVA. The young Zulian Master accumulated 6 of 7 unbeaten, with a Performance of 2287, was seconded by MF Cojedeño rising Maicol Benavides, who with 5.5 surpassed in the tiebreaker system Cristofer Blanco, 38 players participated. In the women's event, the talented Merideña Jemmily Ramírez won with 5.5, the aragüeña Mariángeles Manaure finished second with 5, after surpassing the district Vicmary Pérez in the jump-off, 12 chess players participated.
