The following game is a wonderful example of the successful use of chess imagination. Bronstein gives us a delightful dance with his knights. Chigorin would be proud!

When researching different sites for this blog post, I could not find a photo of Dr. Abram Zamikhovsky. His page on Wikipedia does NOT mention what Bronstein mentions in the preface to this game.

Thanks to RoaringPawn, I have an image of his memorial.....

Again, thanks to RoaringPawn, here is a photo of Dr. Abram Davidovich Zamikhovsky:

These first three are of Team Ukraine, Morshyn, 1948....

Of the three seated men wearing a suit, Dr. Zamikhovsky is the middle one.

Dr. Zamikhovsky is 2nd from the left, standing.

and also thanks to RoaringPawn, Team Ukraine in 1955! (One year before I was born!)

Dr. Zamikhovsky is on the extreme left.

                                         in a light-colored suit!

I did find, in chessgames.com, a few pages with his games. Here is a game where he beats Alexander Kotov in great style!

Next is the game featured in this article. But first look at this position:

...and notice how, two moves later, both Knights have moved up one rank! Very unusual and creative! That is Bronstein, a real Artist of the chessboard!
