My Favorite Player- Alireza Firouzja

Along with Nihal Sarin, Alireza Firouzja truly impresses me. He has incredible poise; you can never detect nervousness in him. His concentration level is exquisite, whether he is playing blitz, rapid or Classical.

I present you here with three games by him, along with the videos of the games. Enjoy!

The first game is incredible; he plays White against Anton Korobov, who is not only a Najdorf expert, but whose Rapid Rating is currently 2794....no. 5 in the world!

And he makes Korobov look almost helpless! Take a look!

In the second game, Firouzja plays the Sicilian with Black against Grischuk in the 2019 World Blitz
Championship. This by itself is not surprising, but Firouzja plays the Classical Sicilian! Now, with Grischuk being from Russia, where they have been exploring this system for many decades, this is quite a risk! But with simple moves, Firouzja slowly and steadily outplays Grischuk! Take a look!

In the third and last game, Firouzja uncorks 6...h5! and attacks quickly.....a great game with the Black pieces!
