Travel to Play Chess Without Leaving Home

I have been out of my country (United States) on several trips. I have travelled to Canada twice for pleasure. I have been on mission trips to South Korea, Germany, and Italy. On those three trips, I also flew into airports in Japan and the Nethlerlands. On my trip to Italy, I even enjoyed a challenging OTB game of chess with a very good Filipino player.

Playing here on chess.com gives me the chance to meet players from all over the world. I joined on November 10 and have already met and played people from Egypt, the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Bulgaria(?), Australia, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, Turkey, India, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and all over the United States. Among them all, I have met some great players and one sorehead. (The question mark by Bulgaria is because the player says he is from New York City, Bulgaria.)

My favorite win since joining was against makgifer (65 moves) on Nov. 23. My dumbest loss was against Griffins2 (10 moves) on Nov. 19. But win, lose, or draw, it is fun to play chess with people from all over the world without having to leave home! I look forward to meeting even more of you!

Where have you travelled and what other countries have you played chess in besides your native country?
