Captain Kangaroo Chess

Some players use the Queen like she's Wonder Woman and some players use the knight like it's a damn kangaroo.  What usually happens?  They generally have no development and by the time their little guy is done playing hopscotch like a little school girl the knight is usually traded for even material or simply lost.  It's great to master the knight but one must master all the pieces and their relationship to one another to become a great player and not the laughing stock of the tournament.  Now bounce!
