The higher my ranking gets, the more I find myself being patient, developing pieces and waiting for a mistake from my opponent. This is a deviation from my prefered style and contrary to my character in general. More importantly, I don't enjoy it as much. In the past, I would employ outragous gambits in order to create chaos on the board. With weaker players, the result was a fun, completely different game with me being the victor most of the time. Now that my opposition has improved, I can no longer employ this type of strategy. Any suggestions?
