Intro

Have you heard about the CENTER GAME? It’s a very EPIC opening that literally DESTROYS chess… Without further ado, let’s jump into this brilliant opening!

Chapter 1: How does it start

This opening starts like this:

Looks a bit strange, isn’t it? Let me explain it:

  • First, it challenges the center.
  • Second, it frees up the bishop pair, to let them come out.
  • Third, will lead to open and tactical games.
  • Fourth, will make opponents confused.

Also, there are some bad points:

  • After black plays exd4, if you take the pawn, your queen will come out very early.
  • Actually, this is an unsound opening.

Chapter 2: Key Variations

Line 1: Center Game Accepted

Main Line

The Danish Gambit

Variations after 3. Nf3

If you play 3. Nf3, you need to know some things about these variations:

  • If black plays Nc3, it will become the Scotch Game.
  • If black plays d6, it will become the Philidor Defense.
  • If black plays Nf6, it will become the Petrov Defense.

Note: 3… c5 is playable but black will fall behind in development.

Line 2: Others

Moves like Nc6 or Nf6 will not work well, but there are still some moves that can defend the attack of those two white pawns, like 2… Qe7.

Chapter 3: Review
