I have had great difficulty contacting chess players in Belgrade. My only over the board game outside of my school chess club was with a group of market traders at 2 am one Septemeber morning. During the game I was plied with drink , had a Knife pulled on me and won two giant water melons. I made it home but the water melons didn't!. It was a great night but I would prefer something more relaxing.

Who am I:

I am from Liverpool in England and moved to Belgrade to teach in an International school with my wife and two children only t his Septemeber 2010. Oh yes, I love chess did I mention that?

Previous Expat Chess Clubs:

While lecturing in Korea,I started an expat chess club. After advertising in the USO on a scrap piece of paper pinned to a board, I got a hit. An American teacher and I became friends and only a year later we had grown to twenty. There were lecturers,students,a German ambulance driver, an ex marine, and I had my suspicions about one guy being a serial killer on the run but never proved it!

I am still playing with some of the guys and girls 14 years on ove r the internet.
