Chapalang (Singapore) vs Magic Chess Club (China) online match

WGMs Gong Qianyun and Gu Xiaobing, both former members of the Chinese National Squad came up with the idea of a match between Chapalang and Magic Chess Club. Initially, the plan was to have 10 U13 players per side to match up but we decided to throw in another 6 young juniors each (U9) into the fray to let more kids have exposure to match-play.

The coaches from both sides felt that the match was well fought and both sides contested seriously. Magic Chess Club promptly requested for a rematch and we tentatively fixed it in two week's time, after the week-long National Schools Individual event.
