Shayan-ghafoo vs. lebesgue72: C21: King's Pawn Centre Game
Hi all! This is another recent game. I think getting the rook on the semi-open e-file may have been helpful. Because of some tactics, black ended up with an extra pawn in the mid-game at some point. If I were to play this game again, I would move my king to more safety on move 18. It turns out that white traded their knight in to expose my king safety. After black moves their king to more safety, they would still have a pawn's worth of advantage, which they could look to solidify and to slowly liquidate and get a better position(and more material) from. On the flip side, it looks like in situations where a side is forced to give up some material, it might not be a bad idea to consider if there's the possibility to damage the opponent's king safety, since this might coordinate well with efforts to complicate the situation.
