Time to Dig Out
I got to keep a close eye on Chess.com yesterday, as my company closed due to the big snow-storm that came through. I still had to work a little bit, from home, putting in some changes to an application that we have. Modern technology :) Using the internet and vpn, you can log into work. My little town (2,000 people) dug out enough that I could get to the store and everything, but most of my sidewalks still aren't clear, so time to do that. And I need to clear a path to my other porch if I want to get any mail :P
My daughter is now signed up at chess.com :) I've been teaching her how to play, but I figure with turn-based chess she might slow down a little bit and look at the board more. That is the case with me too. I don't have to make moves right away, so there is not as much pressure. Even so, I am definitely not among the best players here, but I don't need to be. I just want to enjoy the game.
Today is going to be a lazy day for me. Of course, lazy for me means not having to go anywhere, but I still have to work a bit. With 5 kids, the youngest of which is 3 months old, there is always plenty of work to do, and plenty of messes to clean up!
Well, time to check if it is my turn in any of my games.
