Time Control: How To Stop Losing On Time
Time is very important in chess. Whenever I play, I see players that were winning, but then lose because they ran out of time. Today, I am going to cover two ways on how to prevent losing on time during blitz and bullet games.
Premoves

One way to not run out time is premoves. Premoves are moves you make before your opponent moves. Premoves are helpful however, you can end up doing a move that turns out to be a blunder depending on your opponents move. So, I advise you to be careful!
No Calculation Moves
As you can see, e4 is a simple and no calculation move
Another way to prevent running out of time is to make moves that are simple and don't need much calculation. Try to make moves that won't have you thinking for a long time. When you are more into the middlegame/endgame it is ok to think a little more, however in the opening you should be more focused on developing pieces and not any major moves.
After reading this, I hope you are able to use this in your chess game, and not lose because of time!
Until next time,
