How to get rating quickly

1. Do a lot of puzzles and tactics 

2. Learn simple openings that you can remember

3. Develop your pieces so they can attack your opponents king

4. Castle before move 10 (you might not be able to castle after move 10

5. Make a space for your king to get out in the castle
