Day 10: 3f3 vs Caro-Kann

I feel like I must have faced it before, but if so, I clearly dont remember... Yesterday, I played 2 Blitz games, both as Black and both opening 1e4 c6 2d4 d5 3f3.

I played 3dxe4, which is fine, but then followed it up with Nf6, which is just wrong, and then proceeded to get chased around and make a total mess of the opening in both games.

Apparently, the right way to respond after dxe4 and the recapture of fxe4 is to just jam e5, because if they recapture, I can bring the Queen out to the flank and get my pawn back / force the early Queen trade and mess up castling rights.

I will have to commit that one to the memory bank!
