Great Falls Open - Round 3
Round 3 was against my good friend Jacob Copley, who drove us to the tournament and knows my playing style inside and out. He's also the one who gave me such an intriguing game at the Open in 2013 that it has drawn a tremendous number of views, almost 2000 as of this post. I don't know if it's because of chess enthusiasts or deranged stalkers, but whoever they are, I was hoping to give them another interesting game.
This one wasn't as flashy as the last, but it was every bit as grueling. Jacob kept fighting when things looked pretty bleak for him, and it could very well have worked. Fortunately for me, it didn't, but it's only a matter of time before he wins one of these rated games between us. When he does, I'll be sure to post it here despite my vain avoidance of sharing losses.
