The Mighty Budapest Strikes Again

This evening I played a game at Bernice's Bakery against Scott Caldwell, who drew white against me and ventured the queen's gambit knowing full well that I would play the Budapest, the opening I upset him with at the Great Falls Open last month. As we were getting into it, Dan McCourt stopped by and presented me with a trophy for winning the highest number of Grand Prix points (i.e., the highest overall score) for rated tournaments this year. This trophy is pretty impressive, bigger than the one I received for being state co-champion, so I hunkered down to prove myself worthy of it. Luckily, I did.
