>>Today I participated in this tournament, hoping to win a USCF membership. A total of 8 adults and 4 kids competed in this event which was administered by Dr. Ed Mandell. I was among the 4 who tied for 1st place; each of us lost 1 game. I made a blunder in the third game and that was all my opponent needed. The dollar amount of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes was added together and divided by four. This came to $21 for each of us. So I paid another $21 for the USCF membership. I'd like to go back for more tournaments there!
