ups and downs in bullet chess
In the last month I've twice gotten over 1800 in bullet chess very, very easily. My wins came in huge streaks and at times seemed effortless or destined. In my mind I was already preparing to write my book about how I beat smallville, eilysium, and esserman to become the world's new 1 min champ.
My altime high is from like 2 years ago, 1815, and both i got over 1800 so easy i then tried to get a new record and something really weird and depressing happened. It's like all of a sudden I couldn't do anything right. I was always losing by 1 second 1 move away from mate, and with my opponent with 1 second left, or if i had a mate in 1 with 20 seconds left they would mate me the next move, or i would get totally blown out, couldn't think, i ran out of time when they had 40 seonds left or something. I don't know, but it was friggin ridiculous, and i swear to holy jesus that i tanked down to under 1500 BOTH times almost immediately!
I'm on my 3rd try right now, inserted is an example picture showing how i won my last 12 games in a row. if anyone else has an enlightening story or advice on this weird physcological phenominon i'd love to hear it at this point!
