It's a party ~ the Swiss are making whoopee ~ they have never had it so good!
This year has been an exceptionally good spring, and on the banks of Lake Lugano in the Canton of Ticino, the southernmost region of Switzerland, the Swiss have had an all-time bumper harvest from their spaghetti trees. This year’s crop is said to be the best ever ~ of the highest quality and with an award-winning taste to die for. With this bumper crop yielding so much of it this year, the price is set to fall to a record low and if you love spaghetti, this is I a good year to be eating it and buying it.
If you like it (and I know you will) and want to try to reproduce this wonderful taste by growing your own at home, buy a little extra of this year’s crop and place a sprig of the spaghetti in a the tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best. Be sure to keep it warm by putting it in a sunny place where it is sheltered from the wind. For those of you who really love this dish, there’s nothing quite like real, home-grown spaghetti!
The Swiss are celebrating like never before ~ this is a huge, huge lift for their agriculture prowess and an unexpected massive boost for their economy at a time of need!
Their Thanksgiving this year should prove to be quite an outstanding party!
