Music was my first love
With the world’s greatest annual music festival, Glastonbury, just a few miles from here, on us next week (I wont use the F-bomb but I tried to get tickets; they just sold out in milliseconds a few months back), and having just had two back to back karaoke parties at the local pub and with another BIG one next week-end which is kinda special, it seems to me that the natural order of things is to turn the blog area of my brain over to music ~ I can feel 3 or 4 coming on and one right now.
Scotland is a beautiful country, but nothing too much good ever seems to come out of it (sorry jocks, I know you’re not all mean); not always the case though, and there are exceptions to every rule.
Meet Amy Belle ~ she makes ends meet and earns a few pennies busking on the streets of Glasgow, but boy, does she scrub up good!
A friend of Rod Stewart’s, yes he’s another Scot (hardly surprising with the name Stewart is it), saw Amy a few years back singing on the streets and introduced her to him and before you know it, a gig was arranged at the Royal Albert Hall where they duetted together, she and Rod that is. Really rather good, take a look and a listen. . .
Hard to believe that she went back to busking not long after, but just recently, she has since been discovered again and is now doing stuff with an American singer-songwriter/actress called Miley Cyrus.

Can’t really be blogging Rod Stewart without adding this one, for me, one of his best and a great live performance, again at the Royal Albert Hall! Go Celtic, go, go, go. . . look out for the hot blonde she’s one of his biggest fans
. . .and the violinist too ~ she’d get it J
First Cut is the Deepest ~
I would have given you all of my heart
But there’s someone who’s torn it apart
And she’s taken just all that I had
But if you want I’ll try to love again
