My Governor's Cup Results Sioux Falls
Played in the SD Governor's Cup -
I was excited to play in my first FIDE rated tournament, SD Governor's Cup. It was a lot of fun. My overall play was good. I threw away some good chances but made use of them too. My openings were basically all the same in the three games. Total 1.5 points in 3 games.
The first game I played fine. I missed a few tactics but overall was a reasonable game. I had a lot of fun. Apparently played an "English Defense". I feel like I could have dragged the game out a while but I was never going to win and thought he was good enough to avoid a draw. I was hoping to go over the game after so I resigned with hopes that we could go over it. It was a good lesson learned.

Game 2 was filled with many missed opportunities. Because game 1 went so well I decided to basically try the same set up again but only as white pieces. Essentially playing a white nimzo-indian defense but with a tempo.
Many missed opportunities for white in this game. I was disappointed. Plenty of lines to explore. The paths to victory were limitless and I picked a path that was a draw.

Game 3 was my final game of the tournament. Something came up and I couldn't finish playing the next day. I thought it was my best game with mistakes that didn't matter much at all. I don't even have much to comment

Overall I was pleased. Maybe I'll add more to this later.
