Down and Out

I had a rather rough day yesterday as I wasn't feeling all that well. Still I did my 10 tactics problems. The result was pretty ugly. My tactics rating dropped from 1568.2 to 1546. I went way past my normal 10 problems. After 10 problems I had dropped to 1548.7 and I kept trying to bring my score back up. I didn't. I ended up doing 22 problems and missed 11 of the 22. That is way worse than I normally do.

Fortunately, I'm feeling a lot better today, got 9 out of 10 right, and have my score back up to 1564.5.

Bad streaks are going to happen. But trying to push on when I'm not feeling well is probably a really bad idea. At least I wasn't playing rated games.

I did play an unrated game against Fritz 16. I did manage to win my game as white, but my play was not very sharp, and I had weakened the computer further than normal.
