My latest attempt at learning chess.
Chess is a game that has always frustrated me. I have always wanted to learn how to play but never had anyone that could show me how to play. I mean there were a few people that offered to show me how but since they already knew how, I got demolished and didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere learning the game. Most chess books seemed even more intimidating than the chess players that offered to help me learn. I am so glad to have found chess.com and I now work with some guys that say they are novices at chess too so we will see if I cant better my game.
I have learned to look at the game in stages, or rater I have decided to learn the game in stages. I know the ultimate goal is to checkmate the king but I have no idea how to get there. I have just found the advice to control the center of the board, I played 2-3 games last night and though I lost of course, I did feel like I played a better game. (I even took the computers Queen! LOL …see I have to set small goals and build from there.)
Well, thanks for taking the time to read this and if anyone can suggest a simple SIMPLE book on how to start in chess let me know.
