Best chess openings!?

Is there such thing as THE best chess opening or is it just our favourite? The most common opening is as u all know the King's Pawn opening. This is a good simple opening it controls central squares and will be able to delevop quickly and will manage 2 castle king side fast as well. Now this one is my least favourite. I just...dont understand this.

Ok, thats enough for this opening. Now theres sicilian defence and caro-kann defence which is used quite often. Sicilian defence is simple it takes control of the d4 squre how about caro-kann defence? This is to play d5. Bonus! Btw, my favourite opening is van't kruijs defence.
