Save the UK Chess Challenge.ees

The UK chess challenge has been running for 20 years, it is the world's biggest chess competition and it has done so much to introduce children in the whole of the UK and Ireland to chess.

The children I have taught have loved taking part each Spring term. They eagerly wait to find out who their opponent is each week, working out how many points they need to win their next prize. Prizes include badges, mascots, pencils etc. The children learn about winning and losing, vital life lessons and how to play a great game.

The children compete in a friendly manner to see who will qualify for the county Mega Finals and then the National Giga and Tera Finals. Trophies and rosettes are won and new friends made.

This great competition is now under threat from the tax man, please sign and share the petition below.
