Don't learn the Sicilian!

Don't learn the Sicilian! its a big waste of time. if you are at a rating under 1400, Don't learn it. most people at that rating don't know anything about the Sicilian. 

the Sicilian is one of the hardest openings to learn. most of the time anyone under the rating is not gonna waste there time like that. for any people who are under the rating 1400 you should just play e4 or d4. I made the dumb mistake  of learning the Sicilian and when ever I play it the people I am playing don't know what to do and the opening does not work if your opponent does not know the opening.  

some people think "oh I am 900 now but I will play the Sicilian when I am higher rated I'm gonna go learn it" but for most people it takes a long time to be high rated. so you will forget the opening and have to learn it all over again.

if you are going to learn a opening, pick a opening that you see your opponents play a lot. you can also learn attacks and traps like the Fried Liver.
