Why should you learn new openings?

if you want to get better at chess one of the best things you can do is learn some openings. if you know a lot of openings then you will win more games because you will know how the moves of a good opening. 

now a lot of beginners play only one opening. which most of the time is: 

the scholars mate with the goal of mating/forking with the queen. now is okay to only know one opening if you are 100 to 200, but in higher level chess you need to know at least 2 or 3 openings. here are some great openings for 300 to 900 rated players. 

1. the 4 knights game: 

the 4 knights game is a simple but good opening for 300 to 800 rated players.

2 the kings fianchetto opening: 

this is one of my most played openings and I would say one of the best you can play I would say this opening is for people of all ratings. 

3 Accelerated London system
