Analyzing some interesting Tactic Endgames (+ Video)
Hi chess lovers. This week we are solving Tactic Endgames. I know it’s a little late… sorry, I was really busy… We are going to solve 4 puzzles; all of them are intentionally rated between 2000 and 2400. In that rating range they are instructive, and at the same time not too difficult (so I can solve them more or less quickly… for the video I mean
.)

Some interesting notes
I would like to highlight some interesting ideas:
- In pawns endgames, very often, the one who has a passed pawn farer from the rest of the pawns should have a nice advantage. The other king will have to stop that dangerous pawn, and then the others will stay unprotected (Pos 1).
- The most common Underpromotion is to knight… but some other time you will need to under promote to Rook or Bishop to avoid some stalemate position (Pos 2).
- Underpromotion is in fact rare. It is even rarer to see two Underpromotions (to knight in this case) in the same puzzle (Pos 4).
Good luck to everybody, and take care!!!
Stay home as much as possible.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
