Great Puzzle: Zugzwang, Attraction and much more (+ Video)
Hi chess enthusiasts. This time I found an old puzzle I had already solved some years ago. When I saw it, I immediately knew what I would post about this week. In this study we deal with several tactical themes: attraction, deflection, skewer, stalemate, underpromotion… Besides we will see a complicated although interesting Zugzwang position.

Some small news and comments
- Fabi said “I am here!!!”
Caruana did win Tata Steel, just as we predicted last week after round 8. What we didn’t see was that he would win the tournament one round before the last. Finally he got 2 points more than second place, Magnus (something unpredictable too). He got 19 points up, so his live FIDE rating now is around 2841, only surpassed by Carlsen, who lost like 10, so, he should be over 2862.
- Ju Wenjun did it again!!!
Women’s World Championship: Ju Wenjun finally kept the World Champion Title after beating the challenger Aleksandra Goryachkina in Tie Breaks. What a wonderful match they played!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
