Hello people of the 64 squares kingdom. Today’s post is about a famous and fantastic game: Lasker vs Thomas, London 1912. This is one of the most spectacular combinations you will see. Black King is extracted with a Queen sacrifice and guided across the whole board up to the other edge, and then there is a mate… just amazing.

**Something that can be confusing (actually I didn’t remember this almost until I was posting ) is that this player is not the second World Champion. His name is Edward Lasker and he was International Master from Germany.
