Raptor Variation: Chess Tricks and Traps (+ Video)

Hey guys!

This is Raptor Variation, which is an alternative for White included in Trompowsky Attack. Only with the name, it looks like a terrifying line for Black, and, in fact, it can be very tricky for the second player, if White can get them into some interesting and dangerous positions (we might say “if White gets them into the Jurassic Park” ).

Typical Tactics in Raptor Variation

The next positions are Tactic Puzzles taken from the lines where Black falls for some Opening Trap (they are sorted by level of difficulty, so you know, be careful with the last ones ). It’s crazy how many lines end up capturing Black Queen.
