Rook and Pawn Endgames: First Rank Defense (+ Video)

Hello everyone. Today we are analyzing an important theoretical Rook and Pawn endgame. This is First Rank Defense; it can be very helpful in situations where we couldn’t get the basic position for Philidor Defense. Then, there is still hope to get a draw; probably we can use this alternative  (or essential) method.

I invite you to subscribe. I will be uploading instructive videos for beginners and intermediate players at least every Monday.

Position 1 Get a Draw with First Rank Defense, only against Rook or Knight Pawns

Position 2 Don’t use First Rank Defense against Bishop or Central Pawns (It’s not going to work)

Good luck to everybody, and take care!!!

Stay home as much as possible.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
