Solving and explaining Underpromotion Puzzles (+ Video)
Hi chess people. Today I’m solving puzzles in Chess.com. I selected the tactical theme Underpromotion for this post. When I see the position, I try to say everything I’m thinking about, just to let you know the thought process I go through until I find the final solution. All the Puzzles are intentionally rated between 2200 and 2500.

In the four puzzles we studied today, there was an Underpromotion to Knight, and in all of them it was with check (that’s probably the most common situation where we turn our pawn into a horse 
) to continue with a forced winning variation or to get material with some sort of fork.
