There are some of us who perpetually teeter on the brink of losing faith in the humanity of the human race....
Last night, watching Lawrence O'Donnell, he suggested that we get out our stopwatches. And I found myself, cell phone stopwatch at the ready, ENTIRELY caught up in the real-time drama of purely motivated, collective human effort. Blood, sweat and tears of joy. And then the Phoenix2 breached the surface and I shed tears of joy.
To the men and women who participated, in any way, in the rescue effort, let these moments define your life; who you are and your purposes.
And may this example of unabridged human empathy continue to instruct us in manners...a how-to in treatment of eachother.
