Hello and welcome to the fifth edition of the Hurt/Heal Times. This week was the raging war which took all the spotlight and had many intricacies and details to it that I will talk about. We got another 3 interviews this week but we have to talk about the game first so without further ado, I’m BermudanPM and let’s jump into it.

The game this week

This week, despite not actually getting that many comments comparatively, has been one of if not the most action packed week of Hurt/Heal V, with a massive war going on between Cosmic and Toast against Mjtcan. Now the war actually started around the time of the last edition with Toast going after Mjtcan and then Cosmic proceeding to aid Toast. Last week I did believe it was going to be even but Cosmic and his alliance really steamrolled through the game. I’ll start by talking about Mjt’s alliance however, which despite the fact it seemed to be very unified and organised, with Mjt going inactive, the alliance sort of broke down a bit with very few loyal members. Now despite also having the support of Tarbo’s alliance it seemed they couldn’t sufficiently keep members who were getting mass hurt like Author alive and couldn’t mass hurt their targets (Such as Brady and I). It has seemed that people that their alliance believed would help are just there for their own benefit, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up getting cleared out too. Next I’ll mention Cosmic’s alliance. Now they’re much more united and have close ties to Toast’s alliance. Everyone working to take Mjt down is mass hurting the same people (Author and Cactus mostly) and working together to keep allies alive. Obviously they have had some losses like Spider Punk but overall they are looking much more united and successful than Mjt’s alliance. We have seen Cosmic take top by a good margin through this war as well as some allies gaining lives instead of losing them. Now, from my point of view, we have actually seen Toast’s alliance work together very well in this war but I’m not sure how they would’ve gone without Cosmic.

Another story is Mjtcan going inactive, especially as he was leading and a main figure in the game. Now he said he was going inactive as it was taking up much of the day, which is very fair, but that did leave the question, what would happen to his alliance afterwards? The answer was not really much. The glue holding together the team had been taken and that meant that not much was happening in the alliance and left an opening for Toast to attack, which he gladly took. Now this really did leave the alliance exposed and the real question is, where to now? I expect we will find out soon.

Interviews

We had 3 interviews from Space, Obanai and Carlsen who gave their opinions on the game however didn’t say too much. Despite this, they were insightful and gave us exactly what was necessary.

Space

This ended up being his third interview as I was desperate for somebody to interview but despite him not saying much, it gave me good insight and there was a bit to talk about.

I asked him about his personal position and he said: “Once mjt’s alliance dies, I’ll probably get into the top 5, which is fine with me.” But believed he could’ve been doing better because and said why saying: “I have forgotten to do my heals a couple times”.

Finally, I asked about his thoughts on the position of his alliance and he stated: “I guess cosmic joined and changed our plan of staying in the background.”

Now this interview didn’t really give me much in terms of words or insight but it was still a good interview.

Obanai

Obanai had much more to say and despite going inactive for a brief period of time he still gave me an interesting interview to report on. I first asked him about his personal position in the game and him dropping from fourth to eighth and he answered by saying: “I feel it's going quite well as a member of Cosmic's alliance. We are growing fast and our allies are growing and our enemies are depleting. I didn't know being inactive takes lives away so I got destroyed, but I know I'll get back up in the leaderboard once carlsen and mjt are annihilated.” He then elaborated stating: “There's not much I can do at this point. My goal isn't 1st, or even second, my goal is top 5 and, at a stretch, top 3.” During this interview, he got me interested in how he was going to back up but then we started talking about alliances. Because he’s been inactive briefly he didn’t say much on that point but he did say this from being in Toast’s alliance: “Since Author is dead they are kinda cooked if they keep doing what they're doing. The alliance game is going so well we are gonna get so many people out and then we can decide who deserves top 5 among us probably and get every alliance member to top 10”

Despite him going inactive he still provided great insight and got me very interested in his position in this game.

Carlsen

For this interview Carlsen didn’t provide many answers except his first one which summed up his position and thoughts on the game perfectly. I don’t believe I need to elaborate so I’ll just show you the quote in full. “Well to be fair, Cosmic and Toast's Alliance are outnumbering us, in terms of heals and hurts. We do have ways to stop that, but for now if this continues, Cosmic will only gain lives, Deflection will be 3rd which I'm sure by now he is, and Author will be sent to Mt Doom.

From a personal perspective, this round is probably on par with Round 2, so far. In Round 4 it seemed like it was the most chaotic thing to ever exist, but when massacres were removed, only 7 messages were sent every day. Just a weird battle between Badger, Omar, mjtcan, and a few others, but it was too quiet. And don't even get me started on Round 3, that thing was mid all game.

So yeah I think Round V is on par with Round 2 in terms of chaos all game, sadly there's no "full essay" fights just like Round 2. ”

This answer gave me practically everything I needed. However, there is one more thing that he said of note. It’s not much but he did say “Something might change though.. stay tuned.”

Conclusion

This week, despite not having the greatest interviews, provided us with chaos and entertainment and luckily, lots of fun. I hope you’ve enjoyed this edition of the Hurt/Heal Times. Until next time, bye!
