I didn't know if people would be interested in this, but just today I started Ramadan, and I thought it would be interesting to talk about some similarities between Ramadan and chess, and how it can affect it.

Ramadan and chess may seem like completely unrelated topics at first glance, but there are some interesting similarities between the two. Let's explore them:


Discipline and Focus


Ramadan is a month of fasting where Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn till dusk. This requires a great deal of discipline and focus to resist temptation and maintain a positive attitude throughout the day. Similarly, chess is a game that requires a high degree of concentration, focus, and discipline to make the right moves and avoid mistakes.
