Post 2023 Murfreesboro Tal Celebration
The 2023 Murfreesboro Tal Celebration was a notable success! Under the guidance of TD Chris Prosser, two sections unfolded on Veterans Day, 11/11/2023. Despite falling one entry short of our 35-entry goal, the prize fund was distributed in full.
Top winners were IM Ron Burnett with 3.5 points in the Top Section and Saeed Hoja with 3.5 points in the Amateur Section. An in-between round raffle heightened the event's excitement, offering two Amazon Gift Cards, two Digital Clocks, and two Books on Tal’s World Championship performances. Post-event, the Best Game Prizes were awarded to Ryan Davidson in the Top Section and Darbyn Cortez in the Amateur Section, with judging conducted by the esteemed FM Alex King (please see games below).
