Rating Gains

I don’t have much on my chess mind these days. I truly find it difficult to get in the headspace for chess and, generally, I feel my OTB and live chess results reflect a steady decline in the quality of my play as a result. However, I was pleased to be able to bring my live rapid and blitz ratings on chess.com up to 1800 somewhat recently. Similarly, my tactics rating reached an all-time high of 2800 this month. Modest accomplishments to be sure, but life has afforded me little time for OTB play over approximately the past 5 years. As such, I am thankful chess.com offers a platform for unreformed chess hacks like me to get their fix and I will take solace in the milestones I am able to attain here, big or small.
