Episodes 1-60 of Bobby Fischer’s My 60 Memorable Games Are Now Live on YouTube!
It’s official—every single game from Bobby Fischer’s My 60 Memorable Games has been analyzed and uploaded! This series has been an incredible deep dive into Fischer’s brilliance, and now you can experience all 60 games, from his early triumphs to his legendary clashes against the world’s best.
Highlights from the Final Games:
Game 46 vs. Benko (New York 1963-4) – One of Fischer’s most famous tactical brilliancies. His stunning 19. Rf6!! is an unforgettable move that turns the game on its head and leaves Benko helpless. A must-watch for anyone who loves beautiful attacking chess.
Game 51 vs. Smyslov (Havana 1965) – A game played under truly unique circumstances. Due to U.S. travel restrictions, Fischer couldn’t attend the Capablanca Memorial in Havana, so he played remotely from the Marshall Chess Club via telex. Despite the unusual setup, Fischer outplays the former world champion Smyslov in a strategic masterpiece.
Game 60 vs. Leonid Stein (Sousse 1967) – The final game of the book and Fischer’s last great performance before vanishing from competitive chess for three years. Despite leading the Interzonal, Fischer withdrew from the tournament over disputes with the organizers. His sudden disappearance left the chess world in shock, and he wouldn't return until 1970, setting the stage for his legendary World Championship run.
