New Creative Bullet System: 1. a3!
Hello chess.com! It has been a while since I made a blog post, but recently, I have been testing out a new system in bullet which begins with 1. a3!
What's also cool about this system is it works with black with 1. a6 as well. The system begins with white playing a3, b4 and Bb2, setting up a bishop on the soon-to-be strong diagonal. Then, white will prepare to attack the kingside with moves like g4 or h4, when appropriate. White would also play moves like Nc3 and O-O-O, creating a crazy system which would likely confuse opponents.
Example 1: When black castles kingside + passive defense.
Example 2: Seemingly simple win against normal play.
Example 3: System vs a GM!
Example 4: When black is careless..
I hope you are inspired by this system and try it yourself in games :) I definitely didn't cover all the lines, but most of the ideas introduced can be played against almost all moves. Good luck.
Also, if anyone has any creative openings in mind, comment here and I may try it out and make a blog post about it :)
