Playing a cheater
I recently played an instructive game, however my opponent was tried and hung as a cheater.
So, what did I learn from this game? If I am worried about losing material, make sure it isn't poison before I defend it.
Be careful about when you move a piece, to be sure that your opponent cannot take advantage of the squares that it was previously gaurding.
Look at how threats to yours or your opponents pieces could change the position, and act accordingly.
A hard to see developing move could be the best, be on the lookout for abnormal moves.
Now, it's one thing to say something needs to be fixed, and another thing to fix it. Here is how I plan to make sure I don't make the same mistakes:
1. Look at more moves, and analyze them until you have a reason why they do or do not work.
2. Make sure that things that I'm worried about are worth worrying about.
Thanks for reading! as always, any comments or tips are greatly appreciated!
