Chess for beginners: Main ideas for positions
Welcome Ladies And Gentlemen, Boys And Girls To
CHESS FOR BEGINNERS: IDEAS OF POSSITIONS
As always im Nate and I will guide you through the process, now when in my blog "what comes next?" I said "Custom positions" Or unreachable ones. But I meant positions in general today we look at a few quick examples and a challenge one. Alright that is the introduction time for the to start.
First how do you see the main ideas?
Well first we have a few steps
I good plan is using
PATUTP
or
Pressures
Attacked
Threatened
Unreatreatable (or trapped)
And
Tactical-advantage
Plans.
Now this is a step list
or another way to quickly remember it.
AP
Attacking/Pressuring
T&TS
Threats & Tactical Shots.
Alright lets take a example
Lets start First what can be attacked. The pawn defending the King.
What is Threatened.
Is there any Tactical Shots? No? Then we mark that off.
So we can see that the main idea is to pressurize the f-pawn, so that's just a bare bones example but its a pretty cool example of the awareness of activity that is also a tournament and a master game. Now lets do 1 more before the challenge game.
This is just another bare bones one but it can be interesting
(note this will include lines. So I will annotate and use arrows)
This is a very solid opening choice by the way.
Finally is the Challenge
Now the thing is this one is not a actual position (I am pretty sure)
This is to test your training.
Now the answer is..........
To try to allow the back rank of white to be open as Bf1 is forced if the queen get to the 1st rank.
And for white its to pin the queen to the king and hopefully win the game.
Thanks for reading the blog.
