ENDGAMES: The final stage of chess.

So what does that mean, sure it says the final stage but...

Ok granted no ones going to play that. But what I am saying is what exactly is a endgame. Well first lets see our agenda for this blog that I do to make things a lot easier to create a actual blog and not a blog mixed into a short story narrative, jokes aside.

1. Does all games end in the endgame?

2. What is the easiest and hardest endgames?

3. What decides a endgame?

4. Basic endgame positions?

5. Is there something past endgames?

1. So do all games end in a endgame. Well yes, and no, at the top level yes almost every single game ends in the endgame. Or at least very close.

2. The hardest endgame in my opinion is the Queens endgame which means there is still a queen or a queens pawn (d pawn) on the board but the hardest endgame in general is no doubt. A "Stayed behind" Endgame. Now that's a term only I probably use. It means where you, or your opponent has lost so many pieces they are in a endgame, but you still are in around a advanced endgame. Where there is a lot of pieces.

Black is in a "Stayed Behind" Endgame. Generally for the Stayed behind sided, they are winning without a doubt.

3. A endgame is so tricky in some cases. Even 1 inaccuracy could decide the game. And generally endgames can be 1. Winning 2. Drawing/Equal 3. Losing

4. Lets look at the basic King and pawn vs King endgame and more.

(Yes these will be realistic)

After 1. d3 black is put into Zugzwang and forced to make a bad move. (1. is because its the first move in the position.)

Believe it or not white would be actually almost losing it this position because of Zugzwang and forced to move the knight removing the defender of the pawn advance (notice if it was black to move he would be in a equal position or so.

5. Is there anything past endgame, yes no and maybe. No because it is either win, lose or draw.

Yes because those are past endgames and maybe because the game cant really continue (in normal chess.)
