Rapid vs Blitz

Blitz and Rapid the 2 most popular chess main games, featuring in them the top players in the world including Anish Giri, Fabiano Caruana, Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Levy Rozman before he quit competitive chess. But that brings up a question what is the difference between the 2,

Blitz
*Checkmate is possible put has pressure on players as the main non custom time controls game variant is 3 mins,

*You are able to strategize but you still need to be quick

*Unlike bullet precision is key, as most non experienced players will probably, go for win by time

Rapid

*Gives no pressure on player nor opponent with lots of time for planning, analyzing moves, thinking and looking for safe fianchetto's, captures, discovered attacks and checks

*Is a more strategy based version and is considered the first chess version *besides chateraja*

So overall if you want a more strategy based and more proudful win go to rapid,

But if you want more of a faster paced but still followable game go to blitz.

So sure there is some differences between the two but that means nothing

so lets also look at playstyle normaly, in rapid the games are long and so are the waiting times between the 3 to checkmate or draw or just winning or losing. So its more opening theory dependent, (comment bellow your favorite opening mine is the Slav and the Reti)

and to a extent is the same in blitz but when time is low for both sides or just one that person moves faster to win but strategy still may come into play in this type of version.
