Sometimes people ask me.

Why do we care about old games like in 1900, 1950 or 1970; They didnt have computers, now the openings have changed and the level is much stronger.

But it can help

EXAMPLE 1, a 1976 game in King's Indian Attack

White to play

This game ended up with a brilliant finish

Feel free to check, taking the knight will end up badly for Black.

Full Game with Analysis , yes it is a 1976 game

2nd historic game, Fischer uncorks a piece sacrifice with Black, and wins with a masterpiece

Ok so how to use this old and forgotten info.

How about this ?

win against a 2476 rated player, 92 Accuracy and 1 briliant move, which is very very similar to the games I have shown

I didnt really invent something new. I gave up a piece to attack on the h-file using the King's Indian Attack ideas shown in Game 1 and Game 2.

And I know people will talk about which version of stockfish is stronger, using neural networks and AI on cloud computers to find better openings. its the new way, but the old fashion way to study games and use the knowledge in your own games still work in 2024.
