Hi everyone after nearly a year I am writing a proper blog ,so I am planning to start a series of game tactics and different playing styles that I personally like.

So many new chess players have had a question that whether they should go for a good defensive game or they should go for all out attack.

In today's blog I will talk about the defensive game today....

So the main motive in defensive game is to try to create a strong barrier in front of the king and slowly kill the game most defensive game results mainly in draw. Some examples of strong defensive chess openings are:

  • Queens Indian Defense
  • Bogo-Indian Defense

So it is a debatable topic whether a defense wins a game or a attack so I think it varies from player to player as everyone has a different style but the most important thing is we need to understand the value of every chess piece and in value I don't mean the points but the importance of a particular chess piece in a particular scenario

Also we need to understand that when we are sacrificing the piece what we are compensating and will it harm us or not,I have seen many players so seeing a piece with more points tend to take it and fall into the trap of the opponent.

So this is for today guys hope to see you all soon write in the comments how you liked it and also the things you didn't like.
