Hi!

Very messy game in the Caro-Kann today. I got an attack early on and won an Exchange, but the game didn't become any easier. It took a lot of resourcefulness to bring this game to a close. Ultimately my opponent flagged, but at that point his position was lost.

I'll present the game now with a few thoughts, and I'll fill in the rest later.

What can I take away from this game:

1. White played a very sloppy opening, but there are some interesting ideas that white could try with 2.f4. It's interesting to study this in more detail.

2. Keep looking for tactics in positions in which everything is hanging! 17...Rxe2 would have made the win much easier.

3. The alternative developing route with 12...Na6 is an interesting way to improve.
