I've got a very simple lesson to teach you today:

Don't play like this!

For most of the day I've been spending my time writing a very long post that I hope to finish by the end of the month. As such I wasn't all too focused on playing chess myself. I didn't prepare, wasn't tactically sharp, and played one of the most awful rapid games in over a decade. As if I was intoxicated with something (no I wasn't).

Just look at the plethora of mistakes I made: I lost material by a simple trick on no less than four (!!) occasions in this game by a very simple oversight.

I did record my thoughts about the game, and I'll add them tomorrow. But my other blog takes precedence, because it's something that I've really been looking forward to write.
