Have you ever considered living dangerously, and move your rook to b8 on the 7th move of the Tarrasch French? No? jonathanmdana/Pixabay/Creative Commons

A different approach to the Tarrasch French: 7...Rb8?!

Though I went down in flames in this OTB game in a local tournament, it was an interesting try of a quick queenside attack in the French.

Here is a reference game, where quite a strong player (Weetik, 2365) won after a similar opening:
So, what to learn? Certainly, the early ...Rb8 is interesting as it gives Black a clear idea of how to play. Against the Tarrasch, I often struggle with the LSB, and I hesitate to play f6 due to the problems that can arise with the very weak e6 pawn.
I will probably keep looking for new ways to play against the Tarrasch, as that will bring White out of book as well.
