Weak spots are like hanging pieces in chess but they are not really hanging pieces ,thats why we call it weak spots there are some examples in the starting position and middle/end games as at the biggening
Starting Position

out at the starting position we see that the F-file pawns are really weak as it is only protected by the king but when king castle it becomes maybe a hanging piece so people do the Caro-Kann to protect the black pawn in the F-File ,
now you may play Chess 960 sadly I have nothing to help you in starting position sadly as  positions at chess 960 are random I cant help you out sad.png
now that you know the weak spots at biggening lets go to middle game
Middle Game
middle game usually happens between 15 to 45 moves ,lets see a positions at middle game and observe the weak spots/pieces
at this position Ra1 is the best idea and the weak spot is the blacks pawn on a7 which ofcource threatens checkmate!!
Endgame
Endgames usually happens between 45 to 190 moves(may be more depends on  how many moves you play)
endgames has less pieces with which you need to checkmate ,lets see a position
here the knight on e5 can be taken by the queen on d6 and will trade your queen then you'll have advantage as black as the pawn on f2 is willing to promote, now that you know all about weak spots here we end!
